Shortly after I embraced this journey I am on, I started thinking about writing and publishing a book but not just any book, a bestselling book and not just with any publisher but with Hay House (hey! If you want to dream, you might as well make it worthwhile, you might as well make it BIG).
Every time I thought about my dream, my ego, with all its limitations, would have a field day telling me all the reasons why I couldn’t/shouldn’t/wouldn’t, why it would be impossible, why it would take so much time, why it was a bad idea, why it would never happen. I listened to the ego. I rejected some of the reasons it brought up as being ludicrous like “how would you feel when you publish a book and no one buys it?” I acknowledged and even accepted some reasons that I deemed to be reasonable, logical like “it will take a lot of time and a lot of work to get on Hay House’s radar”. Some I didn’t even waste my time and energy on.
I kept my dream safely tucked away in a little corner of my mind and my heart. It was my “someday” project. I didn’t have a timeline for it or a deadline or even a plan to get it done. I simply had a deep, secret desire.
Now I know some people will say “Well, that’s no way to get anything done”! I beg to differ.
The way I see it, if I had a plan, a timeline, a deadline, I would’ve run the risk of being so attached to it that I would’ve completely missed a great opportunity that fell into my lap for the simple reason that it didn’t look like my plan. So with no plan, I had no attachment and with no attachment, I was open and because I was open I jumped on the opportunity.
Thank you God! Thank you Universe! Thank you Law of Attraction!
You see, a few months ago, I was offered the opportunity to join 100+ women in an anthology called “Chocolate and Diamonds for the Woman’s Soul”, where we share our stories of pain, struggle, disappointment, survival, loss, soul-searching, hope, awakening, empowerment, laughter, joy and triumph. It will be published on Kindle this Sunday, September 13 (making my dream of being a published author a reality). And since people have been pre-ordering their copy, it has already become a bestseller (making my other dream of being a bestselling author a reality).
The anthology is a collection of stories for everyone regardless of sex, age, religion, nationality, occupation… Those are all the things that separate us. This book is for everyone because we are all human beings sharing this “space”, this Earth, this time together. This is what unites us. We can change our names, our occupations, our nationalities, our religion and our age changes daily. We can even change our sex now. But we will never be able to change the truth that we are all human beings sharing this universe.
So I would like to invite you to grab your copy of “Chocolate and Diamonds for the Woman’s Soul” at this link: http://amzn.to/1i1Pqq2. Make yourself a cup of coffee or tea on Sunday morning. Read a few chapters. Then I would like to ask you a favor. Would you be willing to write a quick review based on what resonated with you, what touched you and what insights you got from what you read? That would help improve the book’s ranking and therefore visibility so it can reach more people.
Now regardless of whether you buy the book or not, don’t lose sight of the coaching point in my email. If you have a dream that you are excited about manifesting, make sure you stay open to other opportunities that may show up for you and don’t get attached to how you think it should look. Remember, we live in a supportive Universe with a loving and supportive God who wants more for us than we could ever allow ourselves to want for ourselves. Simply let go of attachment and keep dreaming!!!
